Local Democrats enjoyed a Sunday afternoon dinner and fundraiser at the Granville VFD Social Hall.  IIt was fun to see new and old friends and eat some delicious lasagna all the while kickstarting our fundraising efforts for the 2008 campaign.

Our first fundraiser for the 2008 campaign was well attended.

Congressman Alan Mollohan Joins MCDEC for Breakfast

March 31, 2006

Congressman Mollohan met with the Mon County Democratic Executive Committee over breakfast at Voyagers restaurant.  Members of the committee got the inside scoop on recent happenings in Washington.  Mollohan praised "Sheriff Nancy Pelosi" who has reminded the president that there is "a new Congress in town".  He pointed out that the days of the rubber stamp congress are over and that once again the checks and balances are back in position.

Democrats Join the WVU Homecoming Parade

October 13, 2006

Mon County Democrats showed their spirit at the WVU Homecoming parade on Friday night, October 13th. Our colorful, patriotic “liberty” float was flanked by dozens of sign-carrying marchers. It was a great way to get out the vote of the thousands of cheering citizens lining downtown Morgantown streets. Now is the time to protect our liberty by electing Democrats! Many thanks to Kathy Abate and the whole float crew who worked on this event. And a special thanks to our own Miss Liberty, Emma Taylor.

Local Democrats Attend Jefferson Jackson Dinner

September 23, 2006

Many local democrats attended the annual dinner in
Charleston.  The crowd was thrilled by the oratorical gifts of the keynote speaker, Senator Barack Obama.  The entire pantheon of West Virginia’s elected officials and candidates also spoke and kept the faithful on their feet and applauding.
